gro is building simple and powerful decentralised finance (DeFi) products to deliver unparalleled value to people and companies. We bridge the worlds of DeFi and legacy banking to create solutions that didn’t exist in either before. Our team is small and distributed across multiple geographies with our HQ in London.

Now we’re looking for someone to help us build our social presence as we move closer towards launching our first (of many) product. This means getting involved on ground-zero in an early-stage startup and build an active user community, while we build and expand the product. The ideal candidate is a genuine people person who has been involved in bootstrapping communities before. As DeFi is global and our team is mostly remote, you’ll be an independent self-starter who’s very comfortable building and nurturing relationships online.

Responsibilities

  • Own social media channel strategy and optimize each channel to drive community engagement and build product/brand love

  • Handle and respond to any customer queries through social media

  • Ideate, create and schedule/distribute social media content, including social media copywriting (working closely with our design team)

  • Understand the protocol and support users and integrations partners with questions

  • Attend conferences and hackathons to engage the developer community

  • Ideate, plan & launch community engagement programs, campaigns and events

  • Arrange AMAs

  • Manage our mailing list and create periodic newsletter updates

  • Drive DeFi thought leadership via twitter and medium

Required Skills and Experience

  • Experience in community mgmt (twitter, discord, telegram)

  • Strong English copywriting skills

  • Experience with post-modern blockchain agriculture & the latest DeFi developments

  • A sense of humor

  • Fluent written and spoken English
