gro is building simple and powerful decentralised finance (DeFi) products to deliver unparalleled value to people and companies. We bridge the worlds of DeFi and legacy banking to create solutions that didn’t exist in either before. Our team is small and distributed across multiple geographies with our HQ in London.
We are looking for a deeply technical back-end developer to help us build and gro our products. This is an opportunity to be involved from the ground up on the core design and implementation of a new DeFi fintech system. As a member of our engineering team you will be responsible for implementing smart contracts on the Ethereum blockchain and also developing related back end systems that interact with these contracts.
Work as a member of our engineering team to develop the gro protocol and products
Implement and improve Solidity Ethereum smart contracts
Implement back-end systems that interact with these contracts and with client front-ends
Awareness and interest in developing smart contracts in Solidity
Keen interest in the dApp and fintech ecosystems
Degree in computer science or related field
Experience working with distributed development teams
Fluent written and spoken English
Server side/back end development in low level languages such as C or C++
Exposure to programming for resource constrained environments such as embedded systems or hardware accelerators
Interest in post-modern blockchain agriculture & the latest DeFi developments
Willingness to learn new systems
Contributions to open source projects
Experience with React or similar web UI libraries
Preference for working under an Agile process methodology
Keenness to work in a fast paced start-up environment with a global team
